In this workshop, we will use somatic approaches and active imagination to bring out the best in each of us for difficult situations. Participants will gather internal resources that they can bring to a challenging life and world events, and learn ways to self-regulate when situations are highly stressful.
Somatic Resourcing is about experiencing oneself as present, solid, alive, and engaged. We use techniques from the Hakomi Method, Somatic Experiencing, and Ecopsychology to locate resources in the body and in relationship to Nature and community. These approaches can be engaged with clients and with ourselves, to help meet the challenging moments of these times.
Shai Lavie, M.A., M.F.T, is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer with a private practice in San Anselmo, California. He is also certified in the Somatic Experiencing method of working with trauma. Shai teaches mindfulness and somatic resourcing in trainings in the United States and other countries.
